Fix it or release it?
Will you use it after the repair—or will someone else? Start there, then compare the time, cost, and replacement options.
KATIE DAY · BRAZOS VALLEY, TEXAS
Life, business, and that chair you’re absolutely going to fix someday. Let’s make room for what matters.
Still figuring it out. Happy to share what helps.
Good things deserveTHE PERSON BEHIND THE PILE
Business owner. Engineer. Community person. Work in progress.
I own The Junkluggers of Brazos Valley. I love sewing, useful things, and finding a better way to do the work. I also know that owning a business doesn’t magically make the rest of life less complicated.
Clearing a space has taught me something: stuff is rarely just stuff. There’s a memory, a decision, or a “maybe someday” attached to it.
This is where I share what I’m learning about making room—in our homes, in our businesses, and in our lives. Practical ideas, honest questions, and occasional evidence that I do not have it all together.
LESS CLUTTER. MORE USE.
Keep useful things in use. Make a realistic plan for the things you’re ready to release.

One item. An honest estimate. A repair deadline or a clear release route. A possible project does not have to become your project.
A real story about taking extra time to give reusable items another chance.

I’m an engineer and a business owner. I like a useful system—and I’m still learning how to get it out of my head.
Being able to do a task doesn’t automatically make it the best use of the owner’s time.

MY LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESS
The Junkluggers of Brazos Valley
The Junkluggers of Brazos Valley is my locally owned business. We help people clear homes and working spaces, with care for the people involved and attention to donation and recycling when items and local capacity allow.
We help with home and business cleanouts, unwanted furniture, and the stuff that has piled up through a move or life change. We look for donation and recycling opportunities based on the condition of the items and what local partners can accept.
